Terms & Conditions

Skip Hire Terms of Use

Really important things to note first:
  • All loads must be level with the height of the Skip. Do not build up sides with boards, doors, posts, or any items to increase the Skip capacity. The Skip will not be collected and you will be charged extra for the failed collection.
  • Drivers have the right to protect their Licences. If they refuse collection due to unsafe rubbish content or Skip overloading, do not argue with them, you are wrong. It is not acceptable to give abuse or to make a claim about any previous collection. Fix your problem. Any staff abuse is unacceptable.
  • Heavy loads; mud, soil, hardcore, concrete, brick, solid metal, or other content which may weigh high, must be spread evenly. If weight is in one corner, or to one side of the skip, it cannot be lifted. Either the bottom will break out or the Skip will swing and cause damage. Either way, if it is due to poorly distributed weight, you will be responsible.
  • Do not hide Hazardous or banned items. Firstly, you are legally responsible for checking if any item you are disposing, is regarded as hazardous. Placing any person at risk from hazardous waste without them being aware is highly illegal and may result in criminal proceedings. If you hide waste items to avoid extra costs this can also be chargeable after collection. Please be honest, it will be cheaper and safer.
  • Failed collections from overloading, lack of access, blockage by vehicles or scaffolding, or other blocking reasons, are chargeable. Delayed collections will also be chargeable on a per-hour (or part) waiting time after an initial 15 minutes.
  • No fires in Skips. Do not burn any rubbish whilst it is inside the container, nor add any items whilst they are alight, smoldering or have any chance of re-igniting.
  • Any damage to the Skip whilst it is hired will be your responsibility. Skips are very expensive, please treat them well if you do not want to buy us a brand new replacement.
  • If any dispute continues, we have the right to remove our Skip until resolution. This may mean we empty out your waste contents on-site. You do not have any right to hold our property hostage or keep Skips for leverage of any dispute.
  • No mattresses. Unless pre-arranged, we cannot accept them.
